Not too long ago, many (maybe most) people would have described the likelihood of forging a truly transcultural, multi-ethnic leadership coalition as Impossible! Bringing together leaders from different organizations, races, and cultures to discuss a joint strategy to form a working national leadership coalition simply seemed incomprehensible. Those organizations coming together as SPIRITWIND AFRICA do not lose their identity, autonomy, or organizational structure. We come together to work out a common strategy for effecting positive change in South Africa. In our quest of being a united front, we recognize that unity does not mean uniformity, and difference does not necessarily mean disagreement.
The Three Cs—community, church, and corporate—comprise our primary focus area. National, regional, and local conferences serve well as means of developing leadership. Additionally, many of our seminars and workshops are equipping oriented, providing practical tools and useful information for emerging leaders. Our exhaustive database enables us to communicate rapidly with thousands of leaders from diverse backgrounds.
SPIRITWIND serves as a liaison between organizations in the United States and organizations and projects in South Africa. We have a small window of opportunity and we dare not miss the moment. The opportunity of a lifetime must be seized in the lifetime of the opportunity!
