BRIEF REPORT ON LESOTHO, SOUTHERN AFRICA CRUSADES
We are delighted to report that the Blood of Life crusade presented by SpiritWind and Mission SOS went extremely well. To God be the glory!
Although we were tremendously challenged by weather, we still saw tens of thousands of people attending the crusade. Even the evenings when the rain came down in floods, up to 2,000 people per night still made their way to the stadium. Their hunger for God is unbelievable. The last Sunday afternoon saw the greatest crowds in the remembrance of church leaders in Maseru.
God moved mightily by His Spirit and more than 15,000 people made a genuine first-time commitment to Christ. Many were healed, filled with the Holy Spirit, and delivered from demonic powers. Among those healed was a lady who came back and testified that she was healed from Aids. She went back to her doctor who confirmed this and apparently gave her a certificate in this regard! As soon as we receive this we will gladly copy it and let you rejoice with us in the wonderful grace of God. (Johannes Amritzer is dancing with her for joy on the video report!)
On the last Saturday evening – Holy Ghost Night – we experienced the unbelievable grace and mercy of God: as we got ready to pray for many hundreds (probably 1500 or more) to receive the Holy Spirit, it poured down in natural rain by the bucket-full’s. No-one left – they simply stood there under a covering of hundreds of umbrellas!
When I stepped forward to pray I had to fight unbelief like very few times in my life. And then in answer to prayer, suddenly from underneath those umbrellas a roar began to ascend, people started shaking, weeping, speaking in tongues – receiving the baptism of fire. Beautiful testimonies flowed from this the following day at the morning service – too many to mention. Even many of those who served in the hotel where we staying smiled wide and filled with joy proclaimed that they too were filled! One young lady said she covered four young children with her blanket, and when the Holy Spirit came down all four of them began to weep and then loudly began to speak in tongues. Glory to God.
We were able to plant 17 (seventeen) new churches out of this crusade and expect a beautiful harvest to remain. We lay hands on the pastors and evangelists and left them in the care of Bishop Michael Kolisang. The people’s joy for these tents and new churches was absolutely heart rendering.
THANK YOU . . . for all your prayers and especially financial support! Without you it could not be done. You have a major part in this harvest.
